Blood sports have appealed to humanity since time immemorial. In the first few centuries AD, Roman citizens welcomed the opportunity to view violent spectacles inside the confines of the Coliseum. Whether it was a pair of slaves fighting to the death or a battle pitting man against some exotic beast, the crowd couldn’t get enough. Skipping ahead a few thousand years, boxing once counted it among Americans’ favorite spectator sports. Some called the “sweet science” barbaric, but they had yet to see mixed martial arts.
MMA has become so popular in recent years that it’s subsumed many of the fans who previously supported professional wrestling. The distinct difference between the two sports – and the factor that works in MMA’s favor – is that cage fighting is completely real. Entire MMA clothing lines and subcultures have sprouted up around the sport, and monthly pay-per-views bring in millions of dollars as a matter of routine.
I thought this watch is very cool. This lightweight “fade in fade out” unisex watch has a free-style look, customized watch designed to look like future modern space look with fade in and fade out capability of a disappearing logo. Personalized and imprinted Lunitek Designs logo. When the logo slowly fades out, the dial turns black.
It’s a very simple look and yet modern. It made me feel like I wanted to just stare at the centre of the watch because there is no complexity and numeral indexes. It sure made me think clearly and more imaginative. Because this watch is very light that my hand doesn’t feel like it’s dragging on the floor. I simply wanted to move around quickly and easy with less weight on my hand. Some people don’t like wearing a watch. This watch is so light that I don’t noticed it’s there at all.
A seventh century medieval kingdom called Xerlan is being terrorized by 500 year old venomuous dragon named Anvithopis Virax. A medieval dragon slayer named Skelthor is in the hunt for Virax. Skelthor was once human called “Kasorus” until one day he pledged to rise again from the dead, and he was turned into a magical flying swordsman.
This sure brings back memories of great fantasy movies such as Van Helsing, Dragonslayer, Underworld, Reign of Fire, Dungeons and Dragons, DragonHeart, Eragon, and Lord of the Rings.
Best known by its popular slogan, It takes a licking and keeps on ticking, the Timex Corporation began in 1854 and was originally known as the Waterbury Clock Company. Timex watches were not sold under the name Timex in the U.S until 1950.
It was during World War I that wrist watches first became popular. Since that time, the company has sold over one billion watches worldwide.
Thanks to increased pressure from friends and family, my father quit smoking five years ago. Prior to that, he would go through a pack and a half of cigarettes a day. To be honest, I’m not even sure if the health risks were the factor that finally convinced him to break the habit. The financial strain made a serious impact as well. Despite his healthy new lifestyle choices, Dad does uphold one tradition that started during his old smoking days.
His collection of novelty lighters continues to grow because relatives, friends and acquaintances continue to send them to him. Last year when my brother went to Barbados he shipped Dad an empty keepsake lighter with scantily clad women on the side. I added my own contribution to the collection when I was perusing a Web site and found a lighter shaped like a gun.
